The Ruin That is Academics

Wednesday, December 24th, 2014

Without debt consolidation I would have fallen so far behind in my life that I do not think that I would have been capable of actually pulling myself out of it. I was in debt for nearly five years with $40,000 owed to various credit card companies, as well as a mixture of it being student debt. During that five years I thought that I would lose my mind multiple times due to the constant burden of stress haunting me. The phone calls from creditors and debtors looking for money. Telling them that I’m not the person they are looking for. The lies were tiring. (more…)

Started to Plan the Big Move

Wednesday, December 24th, 2014

I am going to be moving down to College station TX in the next week or so and I have to do a lot of stuff. I am going to need a place to stay when I get there and I am not going to have a lot of time to do much when I get there. I have been trying to figure out what the cost of living is going to be and there is a lot more information about power companies than I was expecting. I live in North Myrtle Beach SC at this moment and we get Duke Power. That is all that there is to it. You call them up and they tell you what you are going to pay. They do not ask you any questions beyond whether or not you want power. If you do, then they get to decide how much it is going to cost.

Actually I think that there is a state utility board and the rates have to be approved by it. Obviously there is a public interest in that and it matters to all of the voters who get mad when you act like they do not get to be treated fairly. At any rate you have to worry a lot about what you are paying for the cost of living down there just like everything else. One good thing is that gas is going to be really cheap, since I am going to be driving a very long distance. In fact I have to rent a big truck and I guess that I will get my uncle to sell me his trailer. He has one that I will be able to put my car on and tow it down there. At least that seems like the best plan.
