Out with the Old and in with the New

I bought a nice dress from an indie fashion boutique for a party one time. I was in a bit of a hurry, and check everywhere else before I went to the boutique. I didn’t even know it existed until a friend told me about it one day. It was different from the dresses I normally find at the local stores, and I loved it so much that I wanted to buy some more clothes from the boutique. I checked out their new arrivals section and found some summer clothes that were right up my alley.

To make room for the clothes that I bought from the boutique, I sold off some of my old clothes. Some of them I took to a local place that takes old clothing and got a pretty good amount for them. The others I sold online through an auction site. I auctioned these because I felt that I could get a better value for them if people were willing to keep raising the bidding price. Bags and shoes from famous designers can really get people in a mood to bid, especially if they’re still in a good enough condition where they don’t look like they’ve been worn at all. I took some pictures of the items that I placed for auction so people could get an idea of how used they were.

Just as I predicted, the auctions made me a lot of money. I used the money I made from the auctions to pay for more clothes from the boutique. I’ll probably do the same thing again in the fall and winter when the temperature gets colder and I want to get some new, stylish clothes that will keep me warm. There’s one thing that I won’t get rid of, and that’s a scarf that was made by my mother. She’s very skilled at knitting and I always put on the scarf when it dips in the cold zone.
